THE REFEREES' COUNCIL [Per United Press Association.} INVERCARGILL, August 21. The New Zealand Basketball Referees’ Council decided to-night that the Board of Examiners should consist of three members for each island, one of whom may be a theoretical examiner, and all of whom shall be practical examiners. The theoretical examination for New Zealand referees will be held throughout New Zealand on the first Monday in July. Eight representative teams arrived to-day to take part in the Dominion tournament, which will begin on Wednesday.
