N.Z. INDUSTRIALS RETAIN SUPPORT LOWER LIMITS RULE FOR AUSTRALIAN CONSOLIDATED INDUSTRIES With only minor variations, the > investment market this morning retained recent strength. Business was restricted to one transaction, but support was fairly well maintained. Bank of New Zealand's closed hesitant, vendors quoting the recent sale price of £2, with final buyers 9d away, but Nationals remained firm. Industrial issues were strong. Milburns, Drugs, M'Kenzios Stores, Dominion Fertilisers, and Wilsons Cements were sought at late rates, while New Zealand Woolworths attracted an inquiry at 17s 9d. New Zealand) Paper Mills had good support at £1 6s, with first buyers for some time offering £1 7s Gd. New Zealand Breweries closed cautiously between £1 16s and £1 17s Cd, the market representing a Is advance by buyers on yesterday's reduced rate. Commonwealth stocks were mainly inactive on a steady undertone. Sydney Woolworths continued to command attention, the market closing fractionally firmer, but lower limits ruled for A.C.I.s, due to disappointment concerning the 5s premium demanded for the new issue.
