A football match was organised byj the inmates of a great prison—the, burglars v. the murderers.; The match was somewhat tame, with the burglars in. the ascendant from .the first whistle to the last, and the game ended burglars 6. murderers nil. As the teams returned to the pavilion the leader of the burglars said to the murderers’ captains “ You weren’t nearly so hot as wa expected.” “ No.” replied the other* ‘‘You see, our usual goalkeeper wa* ‘suspended’ last Monday.”
