WAKARI DRAINAGE WORKS.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —1 was extremely interested in your photograph of the gang of men employed on drainage works at Wakari in last night’s ‘ Star.’ What wo would like to see, however, is a photograph taken, between cups of tea, also of the huts with smoko coming out of the chimneys the best part of tho day. It would also bo interesting to know who paid for the thigh boots and also for tho fuel to keep tho fires going, and compare the conditions with those of the builders’ labourers nearby—also the wages.—l am, etc., Not Spoon Fed, July 21-
