RAILWAY CLUB The results of No. 6 sweepstake were; N. Waugh 1, W. Wilson 2, W. Burt 3, A. Begg 4. Miss H. Elder was successful in the ladies’ handicap competition this week with the good score of 78— 4—Bo, For the week ended July 22 Miss N. Chalmers holds the badge with a possible off the rifle. Both Miss Elder and Miss Chalmers are first-year members. Railway members of the Otago teams which competed against North Otago at Oamaru on July 15 made the following scores: A. Begg 80, G. Adams 79, Miss R. Parker 78. Miss H. Elder 77, W. Burt 77, A. Gillespie 76, Mrs Johnston 75, E. Adams 73. Highest practice scores at Railway range during the week were: Miss N. Chalmers 80, C. Edwards 79, A. Johnstone 78. Miss R. Parker 78, G. Adams, E. Adams, W. Burt, Jackson, C. H. Kitchen, Strothers. W. Wilson 77. The club will enter the following teams for the Cowie Shield matches, commencing on Monday at the Drill Hall: —No. 1 team: G. Adams, Captain E. Adams, A. Begg, A. Gillespie. No. 2 team: A. Johnstone (captain). Miss R. Parker, K. Stuart, D. Lament, N. Waugh.
