London Funds Slightly Higher
Easier Trend in Overseas Markets
Reacting to the international political situation, overseas markets lost ground yesterday., London reports an idle tendency with values generally weaker, while Dow Jones industrials lost another point.
Influenced by. overseas movements, a few leading Australians, displayed evidence of hesitancy, but prices were generally maintained. Several New Zealand stocks made ground. Bricks and Mortar Limited bas declared a final dividend of 2 per cent
London funds held by the Reserve Bank of’New Zealand last week amounted to £5*589,074, an increase of £52,278 on the previous period. The reserve ratio has slipped from 30.805 to 30.379 per cent.
