Press Association —By Ten-graph—Copyngbi LONDON, July 20. (Received July 21, at 1.5 p.m.) • At the wool sales 8,206 bales were offered, including 5,411 from New Zealand, and 6,591 were sold. There was a moderate selection, consisting chietly of New Zealand cross-brede. The demand was keen for suitable wools, the Horae trade being the main operators. Values generally were well maintained. Slipes and inferior grades were frequently withdrawn owing to firm limits. New Zealand sales: Greasy half-bred. “ Craigmore Downs,” HJd to lljd. The Bank of New Zeajand has received the following advice from its London office: Demand still continues good for merinos and half-bred in sellers’ favour, but medium and coarse cross-breds are halfpenny to three-far-things lower compared with the opening of the sales. Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co. Ltd. have received the following cablegram from their London agents, dated July 20: Greasy merino in sellers’ favour, scoured merino market irregular, crossbred greasy declined 5 to 7J per cent., slipe cross-bred declined 5 per cent.
