Mr Nash said ho had not stated that his negotiations with Mr Montagu Norman had been indefinitely postponed, but merely that his statement thereon had been postponed. The ‘ Financial Nows ’ says: The negotiations between Mr Nash and Mr Norman are progressing in a satisfactory manner. It appears that both sides have compromised, and the discussions are now reduced to a question of details. No decision has been made concerning when the long-awaited statement will be issued. STATEMENT EXPECTED TO-DAY (Independent Cable Service.) LONDON, July 18. (Received July 19, at 8 a.m.) It is understood that Mr Nash’s statement is likely to be made to-day.
