NO REVALUATION INTENDED PREMIER QUASHES RUMOUR [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, July 19. “ The Government has never thought of it—not even for two minutes,” said Mr Savage, commenting on a suggestion emanating from Auckland that revaluation of the Reserve Bank’s gold holdings was expected during the next few months.
“ It might be expedient in some circumstances, and of Course it was done in England, but we have not thought about it. We have much more important things to do.”
