STEWART—ALGIE. A pretty wedding was celebrated in the Balclutha Methodist Church on Saturday evening—that of Janies Hersee Keith, eldest son of Mr and Mrs H. L. Stewart, of Ravensbournc, and) Marjorie Greenfield, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs D. G. Algie, of Balclutha. The Rev. 11. E. Fordyce officiated, with Mr Arthur M'Caffrey at the organ. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a beautiful frock of Chantilly lace over satin, cut on fitting lines, trimmed! with pearls, and falling into a train. Her tulle veil fell from a coronet of orange blossom, and was embroidered with tulips. She carried a bouquet of spring flowers and tnaiden-hnir fern. The bride was attended by her three sisters—Doris, Valerio, and Penelope.—the latter as train-bearer, and Miss Marjorie Guest. Their frocks were of stiffened lace over satin, featuring shirred bodices, puff sleeves, and full skirts, and were in pastel shades of cyclamen, apricot, blue, and green respectively. All wore top-knofs of freesias, and carried bouquets to tone with their frocks. Mr lan Barron, of Dunedin, was best man, and Messrs Edward Lloyd and John Casey were groomsmen. Acting as ushers were Messrs Dcryck Stokes (Kaitangata) and T. Findlater (Dunedin). During the signing of the register Mrs E. V. Hughes sang ‘ Bless This House.’ A reception was afterwards held in the Mon Desir, where the guests, numbering 80, were received by the bride’s mother. .Mrs Algie was dressed in black lace cloth, trimmed with white organdie, and a short black fur coat and black hat. She carried a posy of gold chrysanthemums. Before the conclusion of the dance which followed the reception, the happy couple left for the south, the bride wearing a Regina blue swagger suit and striped blouse of cyclamen toning, with hat to match. eldest son of Mr and Mrs A. H. Challis, of Wharc Flat, took place at Knox Church on Saturday, July 8, the llcv. W. W. M‘Arthur officiating at the ceremony.

A wedding gown of pale cream satin njaille was worn by the bride—the bodice shirred, and the skirt, cut on lilting lines, forming a train which was inset with radium lace. Over this fell the veil of Brussels lace, which was mounted on an orange blossom coronet. A sheaf of arum lilies was carried. Dressed alike in frocks of cream figured charmeuse, and carrying boquets of pink carnations and cream jonquils, were the bridesmaid and flower girl, Lettie M'Parlane and Betty Comarty respectively. The best man was Mr Edward Challis, and the ushers Messrs L. Forsyth and H. M'Haffie (Popotonoa). After the wedding ceremony a reception was held at the Vedic Cafe, where 100 guests were received by the bride’s mother, who was assisted by the bridegroom’s sister, Mrs L. Forsyth.
