A row of satincovered buttons finished at the waist, which was defined by a satin belt with a mother-of-pearl buckle. Her veil of tulle l fell softly from a top-knot of gathered tulle, lilies and orange blossom. She carried a sheaf of arum lilies. The bride’s sister, Miss Joy Eberhardt, was her only bridesmaid. Her frock was of satin-faced taffeta in shell pink, and featured high-shouldered el-how-length sleeves. The low neckline was finished with a posy of flowers in self colour. The belt, which widened at the front to form part of the bodice, was finished at the back with small pink diamante buttons. From this the Skirt fell in a wide flare. A little Juliet cap of pink flowers and a sheaf of pinkshaded cyclamen completed her ensemble. Attending the bridegroom as best man was Mr Walter Lowtber, while at the church the ushers were Mr Dudley Campbell and Mr Harold Stinson. Later, at the Somerset Lounge, the bride’s mother, wearing a gown of black satin crepe, a smart velvet hat of the same colour, a black fur coat, and carrying a bouquet of flame-col-oured anemones, welcomed the guests. She was assisted, owing to the illness of the bridegroom’s mother, by his aunt, Mrs A. Table decorations in shades of pink, and a twotiered oblong cake in delicate pink, toned in with the colours of the frocks. For travelling, the bride wore over a model frock of earth-red braided crepe an earth-red coat, with wide lapels of dark fur and a small brown veiled bat. Shoes and accessories were brown.
