A INGE SHIELD. It was resolved that the Aingo Shield this season be awarded on a percentage of points, covering five grades. APPLICATION DECLINED. W. T. Gibson wrote applying to have his name placed on the grading list for senior players of the Union' Football Club as from May 20. After a lengthy discussion during which Mr H. Harris expressed the opinion that, under the existing rules, the committee had no option but to grant the application, Mr J. B. Wootton moved that the application be declined on the ground that the committee considered that the applicant was a member of the Kaikqrai Club until the date upon which he received his clearance from that club—namely, April 29. The motion was by Dr Perry, and carried on the voices. EXPLANATION ACCEPTED.
