'THE WOMEN'
SEASON CLOSES TO-NIGHT Claire Boothe’s daring and unconventional comedy ‘ The Women ’ attracted another satisfactory house at His Majesty’s Theatre last night. Biting satire and somewhat venomous wit are notable features of the play ; which is clgijned to be representative of women the world over, and not merely American women. A full cast of 40 women interprets the play, which is excellent}’ stage managed. Furnishings and costumings are outstanding. The cast could hardly be bettered, and there is not a single weakness anywhere. While a triumph for Miss Irene Purcell as Mary Haines, Miss Marjorie Crossman, Miss Doris Packer, Miss Mary Dees, Miss Jessica Rodgers, Miss Eileen Collins, and others in principal parts are by no means overshadowed by the-star. There was a matinee lor women onlv this afternoon, and the season will conclude to-night.
