FIRST DUNEDIN BOUT MONDAY The wrestling season in Dunedin will open at the Town Hail on Monday next with the return meeting of Jack Donovan and Lofty Blomlield. Donovan was the first to lower Blomfield’s colours this season in what proved an exceptional match in Wellington. The New Zealand public now judges a visit-

ing wrestler by his ability to stand up to Blomfield, and Donovan, who succeeded in securing a points _ decision over Blomfield, must establish himself as a wrestler of outstanding merit. Blomfield, who has just returned from Honolulu, where he won the.championship of that island against such men as Detton, Raines, and Shikimi, is in excellent condition, and will doubtless be out to redeem his reputation against the man who succeeded in defeating him' so early in the season. Unlik« ( Blomfield, he specialises in no particular hold, but suits his tactics to th* situation, and is thus a very dangerous opponent for any wrestler. Weighing 16J stone and standing 6ft in height, Donovan is a_ magnificent physical specimen, and his ability to trade elbow jolts with Blomfield stamps him as possessing endurance and a de- , gree of ruggedness above the average.
