The Palestine rebel headquarters has called on Arabs to join “ in a holy war against Zionist and British infidels.” The manifesto quotes passages from the Koran, promising the faithful blessing if killed in battle.. SENTENCES ON BOYS STATEMENT IN COMMONS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, April 6.. * Mr Malcolm MacDonald _ (Colonial Secretary) answered a question jn the House of Commons about the sentence passed in Palestine on an Arah_ boy found guilty on March 24 of shooting a Jew. The sentence was foi: 10 years’ imprisonment and 18 strokes by whipping, which is inflicted with a' light rod or cane or birch. In confirming the sentence five days later the general officer commanding reduced the strokes to; 12 and directed that the sentence should be served in a reformatory. Mr MacDonald said he would like to explain to the House in connection with sunh sentences on boys that the present policy of terrorist organisations in Palestine was to encourage youths under 18. wlq), if caught, could not bo sentenced to death, to carry lethal weapons with intent to kill.
