GERMAN WOOL PURCHASES
INCREASE LAST TEAR Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, April 6. The Associated Press Berlin .correspondent states that increased purchases of wool will probably be necessitated by the recent expansion of Reich territory. Several firms are already establishing themselves in South Africa, Last year’s purchases were 35,424 long tons from Africa and 23,626 from Australia, the average prices being respectively 138 and 165 lleichmarka a metric hundredweight. Twice as much greasy wool was bought from the Argentine as in 1937.
