CARNIVAL AT ST. CLAIR
The St. Clair Beach carnival staged last, week-end was again revived lasi evening for a further three nights. Conducted by the St., Glair Surf Lifesaving Club to augment the- fund* raised to send its teams to the national surf championships at Auckland, the fixture-was accorded good support, all the various side-shows being, widely! patronised. The Esplanade nas been specially decorated for the occasion, the illuminations creating a.• carnival atmosphere. The merry-go-round and the flying horses were strong attractions, and the games of skill were another drawcard. The • carnival. will b* continued to-night at 7 o’clock.
