ROYAL COMMISSION APPOINTED INQUIRY INTO CAUSE AND PREVENTION Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright MELBOURNE, January 25. Already £130,000 is available for bush fire relief, cilia each mail from New Zealand brings contributions to the ‘ Ai-gus ’ fund. The sum of £4 was collected from guests at the Tongariro Chateau who arrived on Monday. A Royal Commission Ims been appointed by the Government to inquire into the causes and prevention of fires. It will begin hearing evidence on Tuesday. The Government is also providing £40,000 as relief for road wonts in fire areas to assist men who lost their jobs.
