STATE OF BEACHES KEED FOR CARE Once again, surfers are hopeful‘,bf something like summer cbhditlbns bveg the week-end, and with the tempera-* ture of "the water mild the beaches should be well patronised during tha next few days. * : " The need’ for reasonable car© ■, ia stressed, especially at St. Kilda, when* there are a number of holes near tha shore, and a fair rip running out. The St. Clair Beach is in excellent order, and there is an even surf, but here again there is a rip towards’St. Kilda, and bathers should keep between the flags. The beach at Tomahawk is'in fina order, and the sea was moderate today. By the nest few tides it should he good for‘bathing.
