The ‘ Daily Mail’s ’ political correspondent says Mr Chamberlain called for a report on rearmament progress, after which ho will decide on action ■with regard to the revolt of junior Ministers. The correspondent adds that several of those who were originally concerned in the revolt capitulated under party pressure.
Mr Hore-Belisha’s audience with the King was of a routine nature, .but followed a discussion of his position with Mr Chamberlain.
