CONSTRUCTED DM SPANISH COAST
EASY ACCESS TO DOVER-GALAIS ROUTE (Independent Cable Service.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright BARCELONA, December 21. (Received December 22, at 8 a.m.) High military quarters report that five military bases have been constructed by Germany on the Spanish coast in the past few months. Three are on the north coast at Pasajes, Elferrol, and Villagarcia, and the others at Seville and Malaga. It is pointed out that the northern bases are 300 miles from Brest, and 400 from the south-west coast of England. The smallest type of German submarine would use only 24 per cent, of its cruising range to reach the DoverCalais route and return.
