IMPROVING CONDITIONS
STATE OF BEACHES : TEMPERATURES BECOMING MILDER The improvement in the weather conditions during the last ifew days should see large numbers of bathers attracted to the various local beaches over the week-end providing the elements continue to be in kindly mood, and reports to-day are to the effect that the, temperature pf.tije.water has become '* much \ arid ‘cbhclitiona should be pleasant for surf bathing. The Tomahawk beach is in good order, the seas are moderate; and the water mild. The sand is coming back on the St. Clair beach, which at the present time is ideal for safe bathing, the sea being very smooth, with an absence of rip. St. Kilda • beach is also in good order, and is reasonably safe so long as bathers keep between .the flags. •, •
