Right: ST. PHILOMENA’S COLLEGE PERCUSSION BANDS.— At the recent Trinity College examinations Band I (infanta, upper picture), secured. 86 marks (honours) for First Steps, and Band II (Std. II and 111, lower picture), obtained 80 marks (merit) in the Preparatory Grade. These are the first percussion bands to enter for the Trinity College Examinations in Dunedin. The instrumental equipment comprises drums, tambourines, triangles, castanets, and cymbals.
