PERSISTENT POLISH-HUNGARIAN AGITATION GERMANY OPPOSED TO COMMON FRONTIER RUMOURS OF SECRET MOBILISATION Press Association —By Telegraph—Coyprighi LONDON, November 29. The ‘ News Chronicle ’ publishes a report from a reliable source that Germany is secretly mobilising three army corps on the Czech frontier, as a reply, it is believed, to Poland and Hungary s persistent agitation for the annexation of Ruthenia, giving them a common frontier, which Germany opposes. - Six divisions are reported to be already completely mobilised, while the remaining three are in process. Well informed circles suspect that Herr Hitler wishes to hold his hand until some incident prompts the pro-German elements in the Czech, Slovak, and Ruthenian Governments to call for Germany’s armed support, giving a pretext for overrunning the whole country and occupying Prague,
The Propaganda Ministry in Berlin completely denies the ‘ News Chronicle’s * mobilisation story, describing it as “ ridiculous.”
