NORTH-EAST VALLEY SCHOOL COMMITTEE
The monthly meeting of the Northeast Valley School Committee was held on Monday night, Mr J. J. Paul presiding over a full attendance. The headmaster reported that the measles epidemic seemed almost to have completed'its course, and that the attendance was much improved. The school cricket teams are having a successful season. Last Saturday one of the B team boys, W. Bambery, achieved the distinction of taking 10 wickets for 3 runs. The appointment of Miss D. L. Goudie as third assistant was approved. It was decided to hold the break-up on Thursday, December 15, at the following times:—lnfants, 10 a.m.; Standards I. and 11, at 11 a.m.; Opoho at 2 p.m. jn the Sunday School hall; Standards 111., IV., V and VI. at a concert to be held in the Millar Street Hall, at 7.30 p.m. The proceeds of the concert are to be devoted to a picnic to be held in February.
