TRAGEDY AT PESHAWAR
SEPOY SHOOTS THREE BRITISH OFFICERS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright PESHAWAR, November 24. (Received November 25, at 8 a.m.) A Sepoy sentry ran amok and shot dead three Britisn officers. FURTHER DETAILS PESHAWAR, November 24. (Received November 25, at 10 a.m.) The Sepoy was attached to the Punjabi battalion stationed at Nowshera. He shot dead Colonel E. H. Gray, officer commanding, who was sleeping in a tent, after which he killed a British captain and lieutenant, who rushed to the scene, and two Indian officers. He also wounded two British majors, a lieutenant, and an Indian officer. The battalion manned the barricades and shot dead the murderer as he was fleeing from the camp. ONE WOUNDED OFFICER DIES PESHAWAIR, November 24. (Received November 25, at 1.30 p.m.) One of the wounded majors died and two other officers are in a very precarious condition. DEATH ROLL NOW EIGHT PESHAWAR, November 24. (Received November 25, at 2.30 p.m.) The death roll is now eight, including the assailant.
