DICTAPHONE PROVES USEFUL
OMISSION IN COURT NOTES SUPPLIED [Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, November 24. Aii omission in the typewritten notes of the evidence given in the Supreme Court yesterday was repaired by reference to the dictaphone record, and today, when the case was resumed, the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers) commented on the value of mechanical notes. His Honour drew counsel’s attention to the omissions. “ 1 knew he had said it, but 1 took the precaution of sending for the mechanical note. It shows the value of the mechanical note,” said His Honour.
