MOVEMENTS WITHIN LIMITS BANK OF NEW ZEALANGS ADVANCE Confirming yesterday’s advances, the investment market held the firmer trend this morning, but movements were of only minor variation. Buying support was fairly well maintained, but business was again restricted. Hank of New Zeaiands gained further strength with 6d better, buyers offering £2 2s, but even at that advance vendors were not to be drawn. E.S. and A’s were firm, while insurance scrip had a comparatively good inquiry, Nationals being sought up to 15s Id. Industrial issues were quiet. New Zealand scrip to move was almost insignificant, Woolworths (ords) finding better buyers on the higher dividend distribution while M’Leod Bros, wero quoted, the first time for some weeks. Commonwealth scrip was accorded, fairly good support, but values showed practically no change. Australian mining issues remained firm. Lyells, Morgans, and Barriers (with the exception of Zincs) closed steady, but Zinc prefs. were sought at the Is better price of £2 9s. SALES REPORTED. —Late Yesterday.—• Wilson’s (N.Z.)
