REST HOME PICNIC.—Some of the children cared for during 1937 by the Children's Rest Home Residential Nurseries (Incorporated), at the annual picnic which is given every Christmas to the children and their parents. The annual Rest Home Christmas Appeal is now being made. Last year the Nurseries provided for over 300 children of sick mothers of all denominations and in very poor circumstances. Assistance is requested in the giving of the usual pleasure at Christmas time, and an appeal is made for aid for general funds. The needs are money donations, goods in kind suitable for any private home, produce, men’s and women’s clothing of all descriptions. Especially necessary are children’s clothing and footwear, toys, and jam. Donations may be left at the office, 114 Moray Place (near Public Library), or a collector will call if telephoned for (13-049).
