(Received November 12, at 8 a.m.) The coroner returned a verdict that Miss Hilary Tempest committed suicide bv taking an overdose of a drug while her' mind was temporarily unbalanced, following tho sudden dentn of her mother. Miss Tempest left a large estate in England. [Lady Evelyn Marie Tempest, aged 65, a visitor from London, was found dead in a bathroom at Pott’s Point, Sydney, on October 18, Her daughter Hilary, aged 32. was discovered critically ill, and subsequently succumbed. A police investigation led to the discovery of bottles which had contained drugs, mostly used to induce sleep. Medical opinion was that Lady Tempest died of cerebral haemorrhage, as her health was indifferent, and that her daughter, who was also in indifferent health and a sufferer from insomnia, became unconscious after discovering her mother’s body.
