PUBLIC SERVICE COMMITTEE The annual meeting of the Public Service Bowling Committee was held on Tuesday, Mr R. E. Sissons (Post and Telegraph Department) occupying the chair. It was reported that the_ balance sheet showed a credit of £2 los Id. Mr Sissons was elected president, and Mr A. M'Callum was re-elected secretary. Messrs M'Lennan (Post and Telegraph), Keller (Public Works), Newlands (Railway), Robertson (Government Life), Peters and Doolan (Retired Railway), and Chief-detective Holmes (Police) were elected as an executive. After a general discussion it was decided that the forthcoming tournament be run on the same lines as previous tournaments, and that the tournament be held on January 27, provided greens were obtainable on that date. Provided sufficient entries were received, trophies to the value of £4 (first) and £2 (second) were approved.
