CARNIVAL AT DE LUXE RINK
What promises to be the event of the season—the grand plain and fancy dress carnival—will be held to-morrow night at the new De Luxe Rink, 1 illeul street, opposite the lown Hall. A handsome prize list has been arranged, and hats, caps, streamers balloons and novelties of all descriptions will be distributed dunn" the evening, the great streamer battle is a special feature and there will be numerous competitions. The skating programme includes the Otago ladies and men s solo championships, in which the champion skaters will be seen at their best. There will also be an exhibition by the ]93S New Zealand lady solo champion. To-night’s session, from 7.30 to 10, includes the Friday shoppers concession (admission and skates 6d) irora 9 o’clock.
