SECOND ARBITRATION COURT
ALL CASES NEARLY COMPLETED WILL CEASE TO FUNCTION NEXT MONTH [Per United Press Association.! AUCKLAND, October 28. Hon. H. T. Armstrong said to-day that the Second Arbitration Court would soon complete all the cases it had in hand, and it was expected that the drivers’ Dominion award would be declared early next week, possibly on Tuesday or Wednesday. On November 22 the second court would automatically cease to function, as it had been appointed for a period not to exceed a year. Judge Hunter had been permanently appointed a judge, and the Minister of Justice had useful work for him to do. One industrial magistrate who had been appointed, Mr Gilmour, had done good work, and it might be necessary to appoint a second magistrate. With the first Arbitration Court still operating. that would be sufficient 'to deal with all industrial matters. (
