THREE NEW VESSELS LAUNCHED (British Official Wireless.) Pres# Association— By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, October 26. 1 (Received October 27, at 11 a.m.) Three new Royal Navy vessels were launched yesterday. At the Hepburn shipyard ’ flotilla leader Kelly, which belongs to the K class and is one of the eight ordered in the 1937 programme, was launched. H.M.S. Jackal, the first of the J class destroyers of the 1937 programme, was launched at Clydebank from the yard of John Brown and Company, where another of the same class is under construction. The third launching took place at Barrow, the vessel being the submarine Thistle of the T class. To-morrow H.M.S. Jupiter, which is a J class destroyer, will be launched at Scotstoun.
