AIR FORCE CONTINGENT
DEPARTURE FOR OVERSEAS STATIONS SERVICE IN NEAR EAST AND INDIA (British Official Wireless.) Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, October 24. The largest contingent of officers of the Royal Air Force ever to be sent overseas on one ship as part of the ordinary trooping progress programme will leave Southampton to-morrow in the transport Nevasa. The Air Force personnel travelling in the Nevasa will number approximately 1,000. and many will be accompanied by their families, thus making a full complement for the troopship. The contingent will be dispersed among units m Iraq, India, Aden, Khartoum, and Malta.
