Industrial raw materials on hand in Germany during the first quarter were 10 per cent, higher than during the like period of 1937. The output of iron ore averaged 850,000 tons a month during the first five months of 1938. an increase of 34 per cent, over the like period of 1937, while the output of bituminous coal during the five-month period was I 5 per cent, higher than a year earlier, I and that of lignite 8.5 per cent, higher.
