COMMUNITY SINGING
The last midday community sing at the Strand Theatre will be _ held tomorrow, and the proceeds will be devoted to the mayoress’s Christmas cheer fund for children. The sing will be led by Big Brother Bill, and it is hoped that good results will reward his efforts. The mayoress (Mrs,A. H. Allen) is anxious to give the children a good Christmas treat, and all donations, no matter how large or small, will be gladly A ” mystery parcel” has been sent in and will oe sold from the stage. . Aunt Abita'* pupils will assist, and Master Ken. Walker, the boy contralto, will aSd contribute items. Mr A._ Pettitt nill be at the piano. Mrs MTntyre would be pleased to receive flowers for the stall, and donations may bn sent in to the secretary (Mr, J. F, Himburg).
