CIVIC GOLF COURSE
LAY-OUT AT CHISHOLM PARK The General Committee of the City Council reports that Mr E. S. Douglas has now submited his report on the proposed layout of the additional nine holes on the Ocean Beach Domain. It will be necessary, however, to amend the proposals submitted by Mr Douglas to comply with the Ocean Beach Domain Board’s requirements in respect of the position of what will ultimately be the eighteenth hole, and, subject to this amendment, the report has been adopted. The nine holes provided on the domain will have a length of approximately 3,400 yards, and is probably the longest nine-hole course in the Dominion. The superintendent of reserves has now been instructed to proceed with the work as set out in the report. As arranged, Mr Douglas will act in an advisory capacity during construction, and will also advise on the bunkering of the course when construction is completed
