TEMPORARY LIFTING EXPECTED Press Association—By Telegraph— Copyright SYDNEY, August 2. (Received August 2, at 11 a.m.) The ‘ Herald ’ says: Investigations by the Federal Government into the matter of lifting the embargo on the importation of potatoes from New Zealand have reached a stage at which it is expected that action will be taken at an early date to permit of sufficient quantities being imported under license to meet the deficiency in the supplies and ensure prices being kept at a reasonable level.
