CHARGES OF THEFT
REA OF HOT GUILTY Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright BRISBANE, August 2, (Received August 2, at 11 a.m.) Cecil Roberts Trotman Foote was committed for trial on six charges of theft from the National Bank of Australasia. Foote pleaded not guilty and reserved his defence. [A previous message read: Cecil Roberts Trotman Foote, aged 37, a clerk, was charged in the Police Court with having stolen money belonging to the National Bank of Australasia. It is stated that the amount involved is approximately £69,000.]
