NEWCASTLE STEAM PROFIT STEADY DIVIDEND UNCHANGED The Newcastle and Hunter (River Steamship Co. Ltd. reports a net profit of £15,030 for the year ended June 30. For tlie half-year ended June 30, 1937, the profit was £7,660, or at the rate of £15.320 a year. The balancing date has been changed from December 31 to June 30. Dividend is maintained at 10 per cent, per annum, requiring £15,000. In January, a bonus of 21 per cent, was paid from reserves to celebrate the 150th anniversary. . The directors state that the whole of the developmental expenses incurred and the cost of obtaining new capital were charged against the year’s expenses.
