ROLLER SKATING EXHIBITION
CHAMPION FOR NEW RINK One of the many highlights of the gala opening session of 'the De Luxe skating rink in Filluel street on Saturday evening will be the appearance of a talented New Zealand and Australasian roller skating champion—Miss Jean Hahn. Specially engaged for the occasion,' Miss Hahn will give demonstrations of the routines that won for her the New Zealand championship and the Australasian waltzing championship. Aptly described as the Son] a Henie of the Dominion, Miss Hahn’s artistry on skates should make in instant appeal to Dunedin enthusiasts. Saturday evening will be the finest opportunity for skaters to enjoy themselves that has been offered here for some time. The opening ceremony will take place at 7.30, and patrons of the De Luxe rink are .assured of one of the finest floors in New Zealand upon which to indulge their fancies in skating manoeuvres, while the equipment of the skate-box is new and up-to-the-minute. Schoolboys and girls are not missed by the opening programme—there are two sessions on Saturday for them. The first will be at 10 in the morning, and the next at 2.30 in the afternoon. To ensure that skaters are not too late to participate, they should ring 10-692 and reserve their skates for Saturday night.
