RUGBY, July 27 (Received July 28, at noon.)
Mr Chamberlain artoounced that the Government proposed that the House should reassemble after the summer recess on November 1. It was expected that Parliament would be prorogued during the following week, and that His Majesty would open the new session on November 8.
Mr Henderson asked Mr Chamberlain whether be would give a definite pledge that the House would be summoned if during the recess a settlement of the Spanish question as contemplated by the Anglo-Italian agreement was reached.
Mr Chamberlain replied: “ No. 1 cannot go so far as to give a definite pledge about conditions which have not yet arisen and may not arise.”
