SPECIAL ALLOCATIONS ANNOUNCED DUNEDIN INSTITUTIONS GET £1,500 [Pbe United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, July 3. From the surplus profits of the £SOOO alluvial gold art unions conducted in. New Zealand for the relief of distress, the sum of £8875 is being distributed by the Government as a special alio* cation to help the work of a number of philanthropic institutions in the Dominion. Announcing the allocation, the Minister of Internal. Affairs (Mr ff. E. Parry) explained that it was usual for the Government to make two allocations a year apart from the £SOOO paid into the mayoral relief funds, and the sum to be distributed was the first, to be made this year. The following bodies were to benefit to the extent of the sums mentioned from the amount now to be distributed.
