MOUNT MORGAN DIRECTORATE Mount Morgan Ltd. announces that Mr A. A. Boyd, a director and former general manager of the company, has been appointed chairman and managing director upon the voluntary retirement of Mr Eric Campbell as a director. The company states that Mr Campbell has expressed his intention to stand for re-election to the board at a later date. REPORTS AND RETURNS WORKSOP EXTENDED A return of 770 z for the week ended June 30 is reported by the Worksop Extended Gold Dredging Company. The dredge worked for 135 hours, excavating 12,000yds. BIG RIVER GOLD MINE Big River Gold Mines Ltd. submits the following mine report for the week ended June 30: — No. 5 Level.—North stope: Thisstope has widened to sft from Ift 6in, going south. South stope; Stoping under the level was continued. The stone is Bft wide. Centre stope: _ Filling prior to taking out the remaining sft under No. 4 level. Shaft: Three chamber sets were placed in position, and the packing above was completed. Battery: Fiftyfive tons of stone were sent to the battery for the week. NEW RIVER The official return of gold won by the New River Gold Dredging Company’s dredge during the week ended June 30 was 240 z of gold from 11,000yds treated in 126 hours’ dredging time. OKARITO DREDGING The Okarito Five-mile Beach Gold Dredging Company Ltd. reports a wash-up of 19oz 9dwt for 48 hours. GLUTHA RIVER DREDGING WASH-UP OF 130 OZ.
