EMPIRE CHAMPIONSHIP NEW ZEALANDER WINS HIS FIRST GAME MELBOURNE,- June 3. Moses (New Zealand) met Burke (South Africa) in the Empire Billiards Championship to-day. Moses was nervous in the afternoon session and laded to convert good openings into breaks. Burke soon ran ahead. The scores tor the session were: Burke, 619; Moses, 434. The Now Zealander’s nervousness continued in the evening until the last hour, when he recovered brilliantly. He secured breaks of 105, 51, and 93, which took him 18 ahead. The game ended: Moses, 1,141; Burke, 1,078,
