SHRIAIPTON—SCOTT. . A quiet but very pretty wedding, to which only relatives and close friiends were invited, took place on Thursday morning at 10 o’clock'at the St. Clair Presbyterian Church, when Neville, only son of Airs F, E. Shrimpton, of Cliffs road, St. Clair, was married to Stella, eldest daughter of Mr and Airs J. R. Scott, of Victoria road. The officiating minister was the Rev. lan Borrie, with Miss Ruby White at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore an Austrian model suit 'of powder blpe _ with hand-em-broidered wool flowers in pastel shades, worn with a navy hat trimmed in two shades of blue. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums. As matron-of-honour, Mrs Athol Wise wore a beige suit trimmed with brown stitching,

with hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of autumn-tinted chrysanthemums. Air Colin Guthrie attended the bridegroom as best man. After the service the guests adjourned to the Higbcliff Cate, where a very delightful morning tea was held. The bride’s mother wore a navy ensemble with a hat to match, and carried a bouquet of gold flowers. Airs Shrimpton’s suit was of black tulip cloth, worn with a bat to tone and short fur cape. Her bouquet was in fuchsia tonings. When Mr and Airs Neville Shrimpton left on their honeymoon the bride wore a smart navy suit and hat with matching accessories. THOMPSON—HAZELWOOD. On Wednesday, June 1, at 7 p.m., the marriage took place of Joan Morns, eldest daughter of Air and Airs A. E. Hazelwood, of George street. Dunedin, to Edgar Jansen, eldest son of the late Air J. Jansen Thompson and Mrs Jansen Thompson, of Heriot Row. The ceremony took place in St. Paul’s Cathedral, and was performed by the Very Rev. Dean Cruickshank. Owing to the indisposition of her father the bride was escorted by Air Guy Tapley. She wore a lovely gown of mother-o-pearl satin, with a girdle of pearls, and finished at the neckline with a posy of orange blossom. He long veil fell from a cluster wreath of orange blossom, and she carried a sheaf of arum lilies. The bridesmaids were the Alisses Duleie and Elizabeth Hazelwood, who wore frocks alike of shell pink silhouette georgette,' made over satin. They wore short veils falling from pink orange blossom coronettes, and carried bouquets of pink gladioli, carnations, and sweet peas. The bridegroom was attended by Mr R. Cleland as best man, while Mr Lloyd Jansen Thompson acted as groomsman.Following the service in the cathedral a reception was held at the residence of Air and Airs Aubrey Paterson, Cliffs road, St. Clair, where the guests, numbering upwards of 100, were received by Mrs Hazelwood, who wore a most becoming gown of black silk broderio anglaise, made over cyclamen satin, with a black French ..toque finished by a smart veil and short ponyskin coat. The bridegroom’s mother wore a frock of silver and blue lame, with blue picture hat and handsome skunk cape. The following guests were present:—Airs Alorris, Mrs E.
