POLICY REVERSED
EMPLOYEES AT COMMITTEE MEETINGS CESSATION OF PRACTICE RECOMMENDED -The Finance Committee of the newlyelected City Council, in its first report to como before the meeting of the council on Tuesday night, will recommend a cessation of the practice of the previous council, described by many as “ municipal socialism,” of having a representation of the employees of the respective trading departments in attendance at meetings of the standing committee concerned. The report of the Finance Committee states: “The question of the further representation of employees on the standing committees has been considered. The appointments made last year expired with the term of the last council. and your committee is of the opinion that the arrangement should now he discontinued, and therefore recommends that no further appointments he made,”
