ANNUAL MEETING Mr J. R. Bartholomew, .S.M., presided at the annual meeting of the Chalmers Licensing Committee to-day* The Chairman said that the health officer’s report was on the whole very satisfactory, and the police report, too, was favourable. Repairs to the Geoiga Hotel and Chick’s Hotel had been agreed to by the owners or their agents. The licensee of the White House Hotel was warned to run his hotel very carefully in regard to requests from motor* ists after hours, . - The following applications were granted by the committee: — For Permanent Transfers. —Chick s Hotel, Port Chalmers, Eveline Lucy Quinn and'Kathleen Hannon to Anne Maria White; Provincial Hotel, Port Chalmers.
