WATER SUPPLY
NEW MAINS FOR MMNINGTON The Water Committee of the City. Council reports that authority has been granted the city engineer to proceed with the renewal of old mains in the Mornington area. A total of 200 chains of 4in and Sin mains will be rolaid with, 6in and 4in respectively, at an estimated total cost of £5,380.' After allowing for the value of pipes already purchased in the last financial year, £2,690, and Government subsidy, £1,273, the net amount to be found by the council during the current financial year will he £1,417, which will be met from the special renewal fund.
